I'll never reach perfection. Even if I was to practice my guitar forever, I would never be able to play a song perfectly. Even the masters mess up. In life I will never be able to balance my budget, get straight A's in college. I will never go through a relationship without getting hurt. I will never be able to be good to everyone.

So why does God love me? Why does He love us?

It's because He created us. Think of yourself as a mother or father. A parent loves their child, even if their child is rebellious or is a bad person. I'm sure Hitler's mother loved him. I mean, who could ever love Hitler?

Jesus loved us so much, that He gave His life for us. We tend to forget that fact. We throw it in His face as an insult. But yet, He has open arms waiting for us.

Don't run away from God.

He loves you...

Now, to go fishing...

Ok "man-fish", you commented on our blog "Lazyiness... A rare luxury these days in the life of an adult..."

What the hell does a 19 year-old bible-thumper know about life as an adult? Why don't you put down the bible, grab a beer, and go "fishing" for real, by a river, talking about women and getting drunk. Stop trying to save the world, trust us, we are doing just fine without Jesus. We have our minds, and science, and music and philosophy to justify our existence just fine.

It's great to have beliefs, but religion is a personal experience. There is no need to force your ideas on others - evangelism breeds war and violence.

Not a sermon, just a thought...

A few questions:

1.) What did I say on your blog that offeneded you?

2.) What will your "minds, and science, and music and philosophy" do to give you hope in this life, and the next?

3.) Was I REALLY forcing my ideas on you? Was I REALLY trying to force you to believe what I believe

4.)Did you know that God lvoes you no matter what, and has a plan for you?

Think about it... Those were just a few thoughts, not a sermon.

The Buddist speak of reincarnation, which basically means "what comes around - goes around" Which in Chrisian-speak means "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Whether or not you burn in hell or live your next life as a slug is irrelevant. The message is the same - don't be a mean person.

So Man-Fish, to be honest, you said nothing to offend us. Although the first thought when we saw your profile is what could a 19 year-old possibily know what it's like to be an adult. (Trust us, you have no idea)

We disagree with evangelism, we have too much respect for other people and other cultures to buy the "hype." But we understand and respect your faith - we just disagree with close-minded people. In your strive to serve your god, just try to be open to thoughts, ideas, people and choices. You could be in heaven right now on earth and be wasting away precious time dreaming of what's to come. Live, but live good, both can be fun. Just stay open and love life as much as you love God. Life is God's gift to man - enjoy it and don't waste it.

Ha ha. Hey thanks a lot. Look, I am starting to realize what it is like to be an adult; trust me, you have no idea. And I will enjoy this life. You see, this life may be God's gift to us, but even greater is the gift of eternal life and salvation from eternal death in hell. I will keep in mind what you said, if you promise to keep in mind what I have said.

One more thing. I can live this life against what God and the Bible says. If what you say is true, and there is no heaven, then I haven't lost anything. But if there is a heaven and a God, then I have lost it all. What choice would I rather have, than to live what God has purposed for me. PLuss, being a Christian doesn't mean I have to be bored hahaha. I have fun all the time. I really do enjoy my life, even if it is hard.

I hope you find the truth someday...

Well Said Man-Fish!!
By the way, a 19-year-old can know a lot about life too.
What people who choose not to follow Christ don’t realize, and as you stated, if they are right, then people like you and I spent a lot of time in prayer and study that we could have spent doing something else. If we are right, well, the bottom line is, they may have had fun on earth, but they are going to spend the rest of time in a very bad place. Who in their right mind would risk that?
Continue to seek God in His Word as you move through life. It will always be worth it.
I hope that Jeff and Lisa can someday know the joy that a life following Jesus can bring. They have my prayers (even if they don't want them...too bad, I'm a stubborn mature adult).

Remember Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". John 14:6

Well done, His good and faithful servants! Lisa and Jeff, you two have my prayers. 21 years of doing whatever I wanted and actually having experienced drinking down by the river (while fishing, might I add) and talking up a storm about all the guys that I had been with, could be with, and wanted to be with compares nothing to that of being a Christian for the last 4 years. KNOWING MY SAVIOR is the most incredible thing and the most fun that I have ever experienced. I can also introduce you to people that have done all kinds of drugs and can name countless other empty ways in which they tried to fill their hearts and rid themselves of emptiness and they would say the same. My prayer for the world is that it stops being so open-minded that people's brains start falling out! Jesus loves you right where you are, right now, without even accepting His love! I will unite in prayer with my brothers and sisters on your behalf. God bless this blogsite! ALL IN THE SWEET NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

THANK YOU LORD THAT EVANGELISM BREEDS WAR AND VIOLENCE! That is a true statement, I don't think that Lisa or Jeff could have said anything more true. This is what the Bible says about that: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Eph. 6:12

So, bring it on Devil, your opposing army is waiting with the full armor of God with the belt of truth, the breasplate of righteousness, and our feet firmly fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace. We are completely shielded by the faith, protected by the helmet of salvation, and ready to pierce with the sword of the Spirit! Man-Fish, I will pray for you also that whenever you open your mouth, words may be given to you so that you will FEARLESSLY make known the mystery of the gospel. Preach it boldly, my dear brother! (Eph. 6:13 - 19, Acts 4:29)

You all have my prayers as well. This world is one giant battlefield and we have to unite to fight for Christ's sake. I never realized how blogging could bridge the gaps between church denominations and distances between Christians. I am so blessed to read your testimonies, wisdom, praise reports, as well as prayer needs and struggles. God Bless you!
