I am a human...

I'm a Christian. And you know what? Life isn't perfect. A Christian's life shouldn't be. You know why? It's because we are human.

Most people fall away from Christianity because a) they think that Christianity is going to make all their problems go away, or b) they would rather live for their flesh than for Jesus Christ.

Lately I have been struggling. This is a personal battle and if I told you, you would begin shouting "TMI! TMI!" (For those of you who don't know, that stands for "too much information.") I am a Human. If I make a promise, I will most likely break it. Not because I want to, but because as a human, things in life come up, and I may forget.

I fail God half the time. I tell Him that I'm going to live for him, but I end up failing. I feel guilty and sad that I fail, but God understands my condition. He looks at my heart and says, "I see that although you fail, you are willing to get back on your feet and start over again." God forgives me each time I falter. He always does.

My run with God was starting to become a walk. I was lagging, but yet He has stood by me the whole time. He is a God that love you and me and wants the best for us. He wants us to admit that we have a problem of being putrid sinful people, and that we need His help.

I am willing to admit that...

...are you?

I admit, as my friend Jen would say...I am a wretched human being. Praise God that He loves us so much to forgive us over and over again. I don't understand how He could love us so unconditionally, but that's why He's God. I'll be thankful all the way to eternity.

Praying for you each and every day. Continue to strive but remember, that as you said, all of us fail the Lord, almost daily to be what he wants us to be. You are correct though...he always forgives us when we ask and he always picks us up, brushes us off and helps us along the paths of life.
God Bless You!!

You know what I find immensely encouraging? Of course not, unless you have some incredible gift of prophecy that I am not aware! But I love the story of Saul and David! What an example of the grace of Our Creator God! Think about this for a moment. Saul was annointed and fell out of God's annointing when he sinned but once! David, a murderer and adulterer, was called a "man after God's own heart" and through David's blood-line the Christ was supposed to come! What was the difference? The number of sins? Obviously not! No, my friend, it was the heart! David had a passionate heart and desire for more of the Father! Oh, how I long to be like David! Hang in there, my friend, you've got a family praying you through, TMI and all!
